Through CUENTAME POLI, I aim to write culturally-rooted, country specific, comprehensible stories for young learners, acquiring Spanish as a second language, naturally and joyfully with these intentional elements:

• Comprehensible input - stories include high frequency words, cognates and familiar structures

• Content learning - stories weave in topics and themes providing real world knowledge

• Comprehensive culture - stories are rooted in Spanish-speaking countries, showcasing diversity and authentic perspectives. By fostering empathy and connection, they motivate learners to engage deeply with the language and culture.
